There are two types of DNA tests available at the Pharmacology Clinic: functional and diagnostic.

🔹 Functional DNA tests help us understand how your body processes medicines and supplements. We discuss the results with you and use them to find the safest, most effective treatment options.

🔹 Diagnostic DNA tests look for specific genetic conditions. These results are included in your Pharmaceutical Plan, but we cannot discuss them with you directly. Only geneticists and genetic counsellors can explain diagnostic results. However, we can share them with your GP or specialists to help with referrals and to find better medicines and supplements for you.
